In a few short weeks, on December 5th we will be holding our annual Founder’s Day celebration dinner. I am still working on the menu, but once it is finalized you will be notified promptly. It will begin at around 6:15 with a chance to socialize and catch up with old friends. The Dinner will formally begin at 6:45.
I am still looking for a guest speaker, and would greatly appreciate anyone who wishes to volunteer; anything from 15 to 20 minutes would be perfect. Also, in order to accommodate our chef, please RSVP if you intend to join us for this event.

Though the turnout for this semester's Faculty Luncheon was low, we still had a great time talking with professors and faculty members. We had turkey and roast beef subs, as well as a lemon dessert and plenty of fruit. We hope to see much more professors next semester.

Parent's Dinner this fall was a great success. Approximately 100 people attended, and we raised $896 for PUSH America. The dinner was a delicious choice of lemon caper chicken or beef tenderloin. A special thanks goes out to our magnificent cook and brother Jeremy Brewington, brothers who were waiters and dishwashers, and photographer Brad Lechkun, who all showed outstanding efforts throughout the entire night.

Rose Ball 2010 is April 24th, at Adrianna's Banquets in Markham, IL.
A date and location have been set for Rose Ball 2010. This event will mark the 75th anniversary for the Alpha Phi Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi. Much planning and preperation is still going on. For more information please contact the Historian at

We will be having live music from Martini Manifesto. The Martini Manifesto is a Chicago-based jazz group consisting of three to four musicians (keyboardist, drummer, bassist, sax player) and female vocalist who perform classic jazz standards and show tunes. Last weekend Alpha Phi held the Ritual of Initiation for its Spring 09 Associate Member Class. Of the 2 members in the class, David Hoppe was initiated. We also had 2 alumni initiates, Jeremy Brewington and Kevin Ford. Jeremy has been the house chef for the last 3 years, and plans to be with us for many more. Kevin Ford is father to one of our undergraduate members, and is a licensed contractor who has helped the fraternity with Accessability projects, the new grill, and finding a great location for the 75th anniversary Roseball. Hopefully all 23 of our current pledges will be initiated next semester. More info will come as we get closer to the date.
