Are you moving to Chicago?! Are you starting college?! This might be your first time living away from your parents, and it is probably the first time you have lived in the shadow of the Sears Tower. The next four years have the potential to be filled with the greatest experiences of your young adult life. Here at Pi Kappa Phi we want to make sure you do not miss any of those experiences. The Alpha Phi chapter of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity has been a staple to the IIT community since its founding in 1935. We have been training men to be men of C.L.A.S.S. on campus for over seventy years and as a national fraternity over 100 years!!! C.L.A.S.S. Character, Leadership, Academics, Service, and Sportsmanship; this one acronym embodies what we are all about: preparing and training men to recognize their full potential and leave college ready to become an integral member of society. This training comes from chapter leadership positions, social interaction, community service projects, and conferences that include our very own Stephen Covey's 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Whether it is participating in inter-fraternal sports, getting help with your physics homework, or taking a trip to a local pizzeria, at Pi Kappa Phi you will never feel like college is just another four years of school. You will receive the best help and guidance in order to make sure that your homework is completed and you are prepared for your classes. We also know that everyone needs time to kick back and relax, so we keep a well balanced social calendar with plenty of opportunity to spend time with brothers, alumni, faculty, and the sororities on campus. Stop by the chapter house during orientation week as much as you'd like, and have your parents come as well. From move-in crew to orientation counselors, we will be around to help you get ready for your first week of classes and your new life here at IIT. Look for the men in blue and yellow shirts at the first house on the quad and you'll find your new home at college. Join us for any or all of the following events during Rush Week. We look forward to seeing you on campus this fall.
